The President invited the scholars for dinner at the Presidential Palace in Mogadishu on Friday.
Some of the country’s top clerics were also at the event.
He discussed several issues with the scholars and clerics.
His talks also centered on the latest developments in security and politics.
The President commended them for their stance on violent extremism too.
