The President of Somalia has received death threats for waging the war against Al-Shabaab terrorists.
President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud broke news on the death threats he continues to receive for leading the country in fighting Al-Shabaab militants.
He launched the war in August 2022.
Over the last month, he has joined the military as they carry out counterterrorism operations in central Somalia.
On Wednesday, he said that the National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA) shared reports of various threats that they intercepted.
The threats include possible bombing of his plane and attacks against his convoy.
Nevertheless, President Mohamud assured the public that he would not relent but continue leading the offensives until Al-Shabaab was completely destroyed and eliminated from the country.
