President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud has commented strongly against the Al-Shabaab terror attacks in Hiiraan on Friday, September 2.
On Saturday, he issued a statement condemning the attacks carried out against the peaceful residents of two regional states – HirShabelle and Galmudug.
In his statement, President Mohamud reassured the people of Somalia of his government’s strong stance against Al-Shabaab.
He said that his administration would not relent in its fight against the Al-Shabaab menace.
The President also assured Somalis of his dedication to working toward building a country that is both peaceful and stable.
He saluted the gallant Somali security forces for displaying patriotic zeal and bravery in taking the fight to the Al-Shabaab militants.
President Mohamud hailed the people of Galmudug and HirShabelle for cooperating with federal troops to counter the activities of Al-Shabaab militants in their respective regions.
