President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud is scheduled to travel to Washington to attend the United States-Africa Summit.
The Somali President will be making his second trip official trip to the US since assuming office in May this year.
He has already received an official invitation from US President Joe Biden.
President Biden will be hosting leaders from the African continent in Washington, DC from December 13-15.
It is not year clear when the Somali President will leave the country for the summit, though.
