Somalia’s Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre has arrived in Hiiraan.
Prime Minister Barre traveled to Beledweyne, the provincial capital of Hiiraan, on Thursday, August 25.
HirShabelle leader, President Ali Gudlawe Hussein, was at hand to welcome the federal Prime Minister to Beledweyne.
Reports indicate that Prime Minister Barre is in the region to observe the humanitarian situation.
Additionally, he is scheduled to meet with security teams for a briefing on the ongoing counterterrorism operations in the region.
