Senate (Upper House) has approved the National Audit Bill. Members of the Upper House approved the bill on Sunday.
Bihi Egeh, the Minister of Finance, commended Senate for the approval.
Last week, the House of the People (Lower House) also voted for the bill.
The bill now awaits President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud’s assent to become law.
Egeh added that the bill would be beneficial to the economic reforms of the nation.
He also stated that the bill would promote good governance in the East African nation.
