Somali Special Presidential Envoy for Drought Response is in Geneva to attend the Internal Displacement Monitoring Center (IDMC) conference.
Special Envoy for Droughts Abdirahman Abdishakur Warsame addressed the gathering on Friday.
His speech mostly centered on the need to tackle the root causes of food insecurity in the East African nation.
He informed the gathering all stakeholders have to support resilience schemes as a solution to food insecurity.
Further, he also called for increased investments in agriculture as a lasting solution to the problem of internally displaced persons (IDPs) in Somalia and elsewhere around the world.
