President Mustafe M. Omer of the Somali State of Ethiopia met with the Head of the United States International Aids Agency (USAID) in Addis Ababa.
President Omer’s meeting with Sean Jones, the Head of USAID in Ethiopia, took place on Tuesday, February 8.
During their meeting, the two leaders discussed wide-ranging issues.
Top on their list was the ongoing drought in the Horn of Africa region.
The drought has killed humans and animals alike while forcing farmers to incur heavy losses as their crops perish.
President Omer informed Jones of the need for an urgent drought response.
