President Mustafe M. Omer of the Somali State in Ethiopia hosted lunch for soldiers who defeated Al-Shabaab militants last week.
The Somali State President hosted lunch for the soldiers on Sunday, July 24.
He called the government soldiers “heroes.”
During the lunch, President Omer reminded the soldiers that “ragtag outfits” like Al-Shabaab can never win against a “united people” and “functioning state.”
Reports indicate that the Somali State soldiers killed more than 100 Al-Shabaab militants.
The militants had attacked Huluul, Afdheer towards the end of last week.
