Uganda-trained Somali National Armed Forces (SNAF) troops graduated on Friday.
Abdulkadir Mohamed Nur, the Somali Minister of Defense, attended the graduation ceremony.
He expressed gratitude to Uganda People’s Defense Forces (UPDF) for hosting and training the soldiers.
Nur thanked Uganda for contributing troops to the African Union Transition Mission in Somalia (ATMIS) too.
“The newly trained solders would help us in the ongoing fight against Al-Shabaab,” the minister added.
