Somali women have received encouragement to join the justice and law sector in the country.
They received encouragement on Wednesday during discussions attended by top women leaders in the country.
Khadija M. Diriye, the Minister of Women Affairs, led the discussions.
She was with Maryama Mohamed, the State Minister of Health. Female legislators from both houses of parliament were present too.
Zakia Hussen, the Deputy Commissioner of the Somali Police Force (SPF), was present too.
All the participants agreed on the need to expand the role of women in the justice and law sector.
