Youths in Somalia are set to receive training that equips them with skills and knowledge to take advantage of emerging opportunities in the energy sector.
Duran Farah, the Minister of Labour and Social Affairs, made this announcement on January 4, 2021 during a meeting with a State Minister in the Ministry of Energy and Water Resources.
Farah held a meeting with Ms. Shukri Mohamud, the State Minister in the energy ministry.
During their meeting, the leaders discussed several issues of importance to Somali youth, including the emerging opportunities in the energy sector.
Consequently, they promised to train and equip Somali youths on this.
Furthermore, Farah and Ms. Mohamud vowed to embark on job creation projects to create employment for more youths in the small and medium enterprise (SME) sector.
