Somalia Accuses Kenya of Offering Tigray-Like Treatment

The Federal Government of Somalia (FGS) has accused Kenya of treating it the same way Tigray did.

Osman Dubbe, the Minister of Information, accused Kenya of acting like the “hub of opposition.”

The information minister released a statement accusing Kenya of hosting Somali politicians and leaders who are only interested in acting against Somalia interests.

Furthermore, he said that Kenya is now treating Somalia the exact same way Tigray used to do.

Dubbe said that Somalia has never opened its doors to Kenya’s opposition.

Nevertheless, the government is sad to note that Kenya has continued to host politicians from the opposition.

Dubbe made these remarks while providing more details regarding the government’s decision to expel Kenyan Ambassador to Somalia, Lt. Gen. (Rtd) Lucas Tumbo.

On Sunday, November 29, FGS ordered Ambassador Tumbo out of Somalia immediately.

Similarly, the government of President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmaajo ordered Somalia’s Ambassador to Kenya to return to Mogadishu with immediate effect.
