Somalia and the African Development Bank (AfDB) signed a climate risk agreement worth over $18 million.
Officials from Somalia and the AfDB met in Nairobi on Tuesday to sign what is known as the Multinational Climate Disaster Risk Financing Project.
The agreement ensures that Somalia has the finances required to bolster its climate resilience while providing essential support to the most vulnerable communities in the country.
