Once again, Somalia and the African Union Transition Mission in Somalia (ATMIS) have discussed enhanced security cooperation in the country.
They agreed on this when Abdullahi Sheikh Ismail held a meeting with Souef Mohamed El-Amine on Saturday.
Ismail, the federal Minister of Internal Security, met with El-Amine who is the Head of the African Union Transition Mission in Somalia (ATMIS).
Several other senior ATMIS commanders were also at the meeting.
This represented the first meeting between Ismail and El-Amine after the Somali minister assumed his new responsibilities recently.
