Somalia and China are to work together to improve cooperation on regional issues.
This emerged on March 22 when the foreign affairs ministers from both countries met and held discussions on various issues.
The discussions were between Somalia’s Abdisaid Muse Ali and China’s Wang Yi.
Top of their list of discussions was stronger cooperation between Somalia and China.
Afterward, they also discussed improved bilateral relations between their respective countries.
Other issues that appeared in their discussions included security and trade.
The two ministers spoke about Somalia’s economy, agriculture, fisheries, and drought response too.
