Somalia and Egypt are considering closer cooperation in the education sector.
This emerged during a meeting between Abdirahman Mohamed Abdulle and Hashim Shalabi.
Abdulle is Somalia’s Minister of Education, Culture, and Higher Education.
On the other hand, Shalabi is Egypt’s Minister of Education.
Shalabi and the Egyptian delegation paid Abdulle a courtesy call on March 21.
During their meeting, the two education ministers discussed wide-ranging issues pertaining to their respective ministries.
Mostly, their talks prioritized the need for closer cooperation and collaboration.
They also discussed the need for rejuvenating the 15 Maajo schools in the Somali capital of Mogadishu.
