There are reports that Somalia and Egypt are both considering signing a military agreement.
Currently, Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud is in Cairo at the invitation of Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.
He arrived in Cairo on Friday evening.
President Mohamud is in the company of several senior government officials including the Minister of Defense.
Several top Egyptian government officials have rushed to support Somalia in the nation’s growing diplomatic row with Ethiopia.
Egypt and Ethiopia have been at loggerheads over the use of River Nile for a while now.
