On the sidelines of the Extraordinary Summit of Troop-Contributing Countries (TCCs) for the African Union Support and Stabilization Mission in Somalia (AUSSOM) in Kampala, Uganda, Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud held a bilateral meeting with Kenya’s Deputy President, Prof. Kithure Kindiki.
The two leaders discussed key areas of cooperation, including security collaboration, trade enhancement, and regional stability.
President Mohamud emphasized the importance of deepening diplomatic and economic ties between Somalia and Kenya, while Deputy President Kindiki reaffirmed Kenya’s commitment to supporting Somalia’s stabilization efforts.
The meeting underscored both nations’ shared interest in fostering peace, economic growth, and stronger bilateral relations in the Horn of Africa.
