Mogadishu, Somalia – On Sunday, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Abdisalam Abdi Ali, met on Sunday with Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, on the sidelines of the 4th EU Indo-Pacific Ministerial Forum in Brussels. The two officials discussed measures to enhance their countries’ expanding partnership.
The discussions focused on reinforcing enduring ties grounded in historical cooperation and mutual interests. Both ministers reaffirmed the robust fraternal bonds between Somalia and Pakistan, vowing to broaden collaboration in various sectors.
The parties agreed to intensify joint initiatives in diplomacy, security, trade, education, health, and institutional capacity-buildingfields deemed essential for promoting sustainable development in both countries.
The session concluded with a pledge to uphold regular consultations and pursue additional opportunities for partnership to advance the Somalia-Pakistan relationship to new heights.
