Somalia and Rwanda have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on political consultations.
Abdisaid Muse Ali, Somalia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, signed the MoU with his Rwandan counterpart on February 5.
The signing ceremony took place on the sidelines of the ongoing 35th African Union Summit.
The summit is currently taking place in Addis Ababa, the capital of Ethiopia.
It has drawn participants from all the African countries with membership in the African Union Commission (AUC).
Vincent Biruta, Rwanda’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, expressed delight at the MoU with Somalia.
