Somalia and Uganda have vowed to strengthen bilateral relations between them.
This was the result of a meeting and discussions between President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni of Uganda and President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud of Somalia.
Their discussions took place in Kampala on August 8.
President Mohamud is currently in Uganda on an official visit following an invitation from President Museveni.
The two leaders agreed that their nations would strengthen bilateral relations in all areas of mutual benefit.
President Mohamud expressed gratitude to Uganda for standing by Somalia in the fight against international terrorism.
