Somalia will work closely with the United Nations to enhance security in the country through the Joint Police Programme (JPP).
This was revealed on Friday when Abdullahi Sheikh Ismail Fartaag held discussions with James Swan.
Fartaag, the Minister of Internal Security, hosted Swan in the ministry’s offices in Mogadishu.
Swan, the Acting Special Representative of the Secretary-General (SRSG) of the UN, has been in the East African nation for over a week now.
Fartaag and Swan agreed on the need for strengthening efforts to improve security in the country.
