Somalia has appealed for funds to fight the ongoing drought in the country from the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB).
Abdirahman Abdishakur, the Special Envoy for Drought Response, appealed for the funds when he met with Dr. Zamir Iqbal on Monday, August 15.
Dr. Iqbal is the Vice President of the IsDB.
During their meeting, Abdishakur and Dr. Iqbal discussed urgent responses such as raising funds for the ongoing crisis in the East African nation.
They also discussed the need for increased advocacy for the drought response.
