Somalia’s Council of Ministers met on November 12 to discuss the appointment of a new commissioner for the anti-corruption commissioner.
The session took place at the Prime Minister’s Office in Mogadishu.
During Thursday’s meeting, the ministers discussed several issues that included the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Furthermore, they also considered the recently approved rules for the Council of Ministers.
Recently, Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble invited the ministers to a retreat at Decale Hotel in Mogadishu.
At the end of the meeting, they all agreed to abide by new rules while in office.
Roble also led today’s meeting, which delved into issues of national security.
More importantly, the Council deliberated appointment of a new commissioner for the National Anti-Corruption Commission.
The Federal Government of Somalia has imposed several measures to curb corruption among public officers and around the country.
