The Federal Government of Somalia (FGS) has called for more investments from Saudi Arabia in a local fishery project.

This emerged when a Somali delegation met with their counterparts from Saudi Arabia in Muscat.

The officials from the Middle East nation were from the Saudi Public Authority for Foreign Aid (GAFT).

During the meeting, the Somali delegation informed the Saudi officials about an ongoing fishery project back at home.

They also told their Saudi counterparts that Somalia has the largest seacoast and beach in Africa.

Furthermore, they informed the Saudi officials that Somalia fish and livestock exports are the leading in the entire continent.
