Somalia has called upon the Arab League to discuss Ethiopia’s “blatant aggression.”
The Federal Government of Somalia (FGS) appealed to the Arab League to intervene in the incident that occurred this week when Ethiopia signed a controversial deal with Somaliland.
The deal allows Ethiopia to access 20km of seaport in Somaliland.
In return, Ethiopia will offer Somaliland the international recognition that the latter has sought for the last three decades.
Somalia has not taken kindly to this agreement.
Consequently, it wants Ministers of Foreign Affairs from all the Arab League member states to discuss the matter as soon as possible.
