Somalia can only achieve prosperity and stability through education, the Minister of Finance has stated.
Dr. Elmi M. Nur, the finance minister, was speaking during the ongoing National Education Conference (NECSomalia2023).
In his Tuesday speech, Dr. Nur urged all stakeholders to make education a national agenda.
“We must make education a national agenda to enable us to achieve stability, progress, and prosperity for all,” Dr. Nur stated.
He added that the finance ministry will play a crucial role in this.
“My ministry has prioritized education financing,” the minister mentioned.
“The recruitment of 3,000 new teachers is a manifestation of the commitment by the government through the finance ministry,” Dr. Nur concluded.
