Mogadishu – On the occasion of Africa Day, celebrated annually on May 25, the Federal Government of Somalia has extended warm congratulations to all African nations.
Through its United Nations Office and in its capacity as a current member of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC), Somalia reaffirmed its solidarity with the continent, celebrating the unity, progress, and shared aspirations of African states.
Africa Day marks the founding of the Organization of African Unity in 1963, now known as the African Union (AU), and is a symbol of collective African identity and cooperation.
