The Central Bank of Somalia (CBS) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Central Bank of Egypt.
Officials from both institutions signed the agreement on February 23.
Abdirahman Mohamed signed the agreement on behalf of the Central Bank of Somalia.
Mohamed is the Governor of the Central Bank of Somalia.
He was joined in the signing ceremony with Tarek Amer, the Governor of the Central Bank of Egypt.
The two committed their respective central banks to a close working relationship.
Mostly, the two central banks would put more emphasis on information sharing and capacity development.
