Somalia commended the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) for asking all warring parties in Gaza to observe ceasefire.
On Monday, the UNSC urged Israel and Hamas to cease all fighting.
Through UNSC Resolution 2728, member countries called on the warring sides to embrace ceasefire while fostering peace and stability in the region.
Somalia said that the move is the right one bearing in mind the loss of life in the region in the last few months.
Gaza has known nothing but war, death, destruction, and massive humanitarian crisis for months.
