Somalia has reported 10 new cases of COVID-19 after tests conducted on samples in the last 24 hours, the Ministry of Health announced.
According to data from the health ministry, the country’s tally of COVID-19 cases now stands at 3,171.
All the cases were recorded in Somaliland.
Records from the health ministry indicate that eight of them were male while the remaining two were female.
Moreover, the ministry expressed delight that no new deaths have been recorded, which leaves the tally of fatalities at 93.
The health ministry also showered healthcare workers with praise for the incredible service offered to patients diagnosed with the virulent disease.
As per the health ministry’s latest records, the country reported four more recoveries to bring the number of people to have recovered from the disease to 1,499.
Somalis were urged to continue observing the protocols put in place by the Ministry of Health and the World Health Organization to curb the spread of the disease around the country.
