Somalia Confirms 126 New COVID-19 Cases

Somalia’s Ministry of Health has confirmed 126 new cases of the deadly COVID-19 disease that continues to wreck havoc in the country.

The health ministry provided the latest details on March 2.

In its daily updates, the ministry confirmed that the positive cases were from samples tested in the last 24 hours.

With these new cases confirmed, the tally of COVID-19 patients in Somalia has now risen to 7,518.

Moreover, six people lost their lives to the disease thus taking the number of fatalities to 249.

Once again, Banadir leads with 74 cases followed by Somaliland with 41, Jubbaland 6, HirShabelle 4, and Galmudug 1.

Thus far, the ministry reported that 3,846 patients have recovered from the disease.
