Somalia Confirms 13 More COVID-19 Cases

Somalia’s Ministry of Health announced 13 new COVID-19 cases from samples tested in the last 24 hours in the country.

Somaliland was responsible for nine of the new cases while Puntland had three and Benadir recording one case.

Furthermore, the health ministry confirmed that 10 of the cases were male and three were female.

Consequently, the tally of confirmed cases in the Horn of Africa country has now reached 3,072 out of which Somalia has recorded 1,343 recoveries and 93 deaths.

Initially, the country had one of the worst prevalence cases in the region but has since managed to bring its numbers down.
