Somalia Confirms 157 New COVID-19 Cases

On Sunday, Somalia’s Ministry of Health announced that the country had confirmed 157 new COVID-19 cases.

The new cases were from the 2,704 samples that health officials collected and tested in the last five days.

Puntland recorded 134 cases while Somaliland reported 20 cases.

Banadir and Galmudug regions had two and one cases each.

Further, health ministry officials indicated that 98 of the new cases were male while the remaining 59 were female.

Consequently, the country now has a tally of 3,745 confirmed cases. Recoveries now stand at 3,010 after 64 more people recovered from the virulent disease.
