Mogadishu – The Federal Republic of Somalia has extended its warmest congratulations to Dr. Sidi Ould Tah on his election as the ninth President of the African Development Bank (AfDB) Group.
In an official statement, Somalia hailed Dr. Tah’s appointment as a distinguished achievement, commending his unwavering dedication to advancing Africa’s economic and social development.
“His election reflects the confidence and trust African nations place in his vision, leadership, and commitment to transformative progress across the continent,” the statement read.
Somalia reiterated its readiness to work closely with the AfDB under Dr. Tah’s leadership to strengthen cooperation in key development areas, including infrastructure, energy, agriculture, and job creation.
Dr. Tah previously served as Director General of the Arab Bank for Economic Development in Africa (BADEA) and has held several leadership positions promoting African integration and financial growth.
