President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud expressed the deep concerns of the people and government of Somalia to the brotherly nation of Sudan.
He issued a press release on Saturday, April 15.
Sudan has been the scene of a vicious battle as the military seeks to overthrow the government.
In his statement, President Mohamud called for an immediate end to the conflict.
He urged all warring parties to exercise restraint.
The Somali President told the warring parties that an escalation of the violence would not solve the challenges facing their nation.
