Somalia has been drawn into a tough group for the upcoming Africa U-17 Championships.
In the championships that kick off in Algeria later this year, Somalia will be in Group A together with Algeria, Senegal, and Congo.
Somalia will be making its debut in a major football championship.
It qualified for the continental championships after beating South Sudan in the finals of the Council for East and Central Africa Football Association (CECAFA).
In the process, Somalia created history.
First, it won its first major championship. Secondly, it qualified for a major tournament.
Teams are in three groups. Group B has Nigeria, Morocco, South Africa, and Zambia while Cameroon, Mali, Burkina Faso, and South Sudan are in Group C.
