Somalia will experience below-average rainfall from October to December 2022.
The Ministry of Energy and Water Resources through the Department of Hydro Meteorology issued the latest weather update on Friday, August 26.
In its update, there is a higher chance of the northern parts of Somalia getting above-average rainfall.
Currently, the country has suffered consecutive seasons of no rainfall.
The situation has led to drought, which is the worst in the country for the last four decades.
There are fears that the drought could lead to famine and death. Already, many pastoralists have migrated to towns in search of better fortunes.
