The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Ahmed Moallim Fiqi, reaffirmed Somalia’s unwavering solidarity with the Palestinian people.
Fiqi spoke on behalf of the people and government of Somalia at the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) Ministerial Meeting held during the 79th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA79) in New York on Tuesday.
He emphasized the urgent need for a two-state solution between Israel and Palestine, highlighting the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
Somalia’s stance aligns with its longstanding support for Palestinian rights and its call for an end to the violence and suffering in the region.
This expression of solidarity was part of broader discussions at the NAM meeting, which focused on global peace and cooperation.
