The Federal Parliament of Somalia has passed the National Health Professionals Council (NHPC) Act unanimously.
The Ministry of Health expressed its pleasure at the move saying the Act would go a long way towards ensuring that Somalis in the country receive quality healthcare.
Moreover, the health ministry lauded the move by saying the NHPC Act is the first step in regulating health professionals.
Additionally, the NHPC Act would also play a critical role in health practice and education.
Parliament’s decision to pass the NHPC Act is the right move in providing health professionals around the country with the guidance they need, especially amidst diseases such as COVID-19.
