Somalia’s Ministry of Health has announced government plans to repatriate Somalis stranded overseas because of COVID-19.
Many Somalis have been crying out to the Federal Government of Somalia seeking help to travel back home after being stranded in Saudi Arabia and other countries around the world.
Moreover, the government has also promised to monitor its citizens who are in limbo in Turkey but just returned to the country following intervention from the Turkish Airlines.
Among those who returned from Turkey was the Speaker of the Federal Parliament of Somalia.
Recently, Somalia government banned all international flights from and into the country as one of the measures of curbing the spread of the virulent disease in the country.
