Somalia’s Minister of Environment and Climate Change declared that the nation is grappling with the harsh realities of desertification.
Environment minister Khadija Al Makhzoumi stated that the nation is not safe from the effects of climate change.
She made these views known on Monday while leading celebrations held to mark the 30th anniversary of the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification.
The environment minister added that the East African nation is equally not safe from the effects of drought, which it experiences every day.
