Somalia has acknowledged and praised Somaliland for conducting democratic and stable presidential and party elections.
On Friday, Somalia’s Ministry of Interior, Federal Affairs, and Reconciliation hailed Somaliland for the peaceful and democratic elections.
Somaliland held presidential and parliamentary elections on November 13.
It was the first time in its history to hold both polls on a single day.
The recognition by Somalia underscores the ministry’s support for political stability and governance across the country.
