Somalia has over 1 million internally displaced persons (IDPs).
The country has witnessed the addition of more than 1 million IDPs in not more than 130 days, according to the latest report from experts.
The report was the culmination of months-long research by various organizations.
Some of the organizations that collaborated to produce the report include United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and the Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC).
UNHCR and NCR carried out the research between January 1 and May 10 this year.
They stated that the primary causes of the increased numbers include conflict, drought, and ravaging floods.
