Mogadishu, Somalia – The second annual Somalia Justice Conference proceeded on Sunday in Mogadishu, where delegates concentrated on this year’s theme: “Inclusive Justice for All.”
The forum has attracted senior officials, including Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre, together with federal and state-level justice institutions, international partners, legal scholars, and invited guests.
Discussions centered on bolstering the independence of the judiciary, enhancing accountability mechanisms, and rebuilding public trust in Somalia’s justice system.
President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud is set to close the conference later today as participants assess proposals designed to make judicial services more efficient, transparent, and accessible.
Experts note that the recommendations presented this year seek to establish a justice system that is equitable, responsive, and equipped to serve all Somalis.
