Somalia Launches 3-Year GPE Project to Strengthen Its Educational Infrastructure

Somalia has launched a three-year Global Partnership for Education (GPE) project aimed at strengthening the country’s educational infrastructure and supporting long-term development.

It launched the project on Thursday.

Several top government officials and other stakeholders in the education sector attended the launch ceremony.

This initiative seeks to improve access to quality education, particularly for marginalized groups, including girls, children in rural areas, and those affected by conflict.

The project will focus on building and rehabilitating schools, training teachers, and providing educational materials to enhance learning outcomes.

It also aims to support policy reforms and strengthen the capacity of the education system to ensure sustainable progress.

The GPE project is a significant step towards addressing the educational challenges in Somalia and contributing to the country’s overall development.
