Somalia has launched the National Communication Strategy of 2023-2028.
The Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism launched the strategy in the presence of local and foreign guests in Mogadishu on Monday.
Kiki Gbeho, the Deputy Special Representative of the Secretary-General (DSRSG) of the United Nations, was among the dignitaries at the ceremony.
She welcomed the strategy that will serve the Somali government for the next five years.
In her address, DSRSG Gbeho reminded participants of the importance of freedom of expression.
Gbeho also advocated for improved communication between the Somali government and the people it serves around the country.
