Somalia Launches National Job Portal

Somalia’s Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs (MoLSA) has launched the National Job Portal (jobs.gov.so) to tackle unemployment and drive economic growth.

This platform, launched on Saturday, connects job seekers with employers, ensuring equal opportunities for all.

The portal is integrated with the National Employment Service Center (NESC), a key institution established to address the nation’s acute unemployment challenges. NESC collaborates closely with employers to understand their workforce demands and recruitment goals, providing tailored services to ensure timely and suitable hiring.

This initiative aligns with Somalia’s National Employment Policy, designed to accelerate efforts to reduce unemployment, especially among young people.

Through these combined efforts, Somalia aims to create a balanced labor market that provides protection for employees while fulfilling employers’ needs, ultimately contributing to the country’s socio-economic development.
