Somalia Makes Final Submissions to ICJ on Maritime Case with Kenya

Somalia is set to make its final submissions to the International Court of Justice (ICJ) in the ongoing maritime case with Kenya.

The Hague-based court has been conducting public hearing of the case since Monday, March 15.

Kenya withdrew from the case early this week.

However, it did so after presenting its written submissions to ICJ.

On Thursday, Somalia would be making its final submissions to The Hague-based court as from 3pm.

ICJ confirmed that it received oral presentations from the Federal Republic of Somalia on March 15 and March 16.

Further, in a press statement released on March 17, the court confirmed that Somalia would proceed with its final submissions on the afternoon of March 18.

Afterward, ICJ would kick off its deliberations before determining the case.
